This is our most popular and successful underwater photography class and the one that we teach during our on location photo workshops. We start with the basics including “camera handling and maintenance” before heading into a breakdown of the basics of underwater photography. The main topics include: “Understanding F-stops, Shutter Speed, and ISO”, “Using Strobes Underwater”, “Composition”, and “Creating a Workflow that Works”.
Each student will receive one on one photo critiquing of the days dives in order to understand what went right and what went wrong. The minimum time required for this class is three days (6 dives) with two participants.
We limit participants to a maximum of three for one instructor, with more participants it becomes a four day (6 dives) class in order for the instructor to spend ample time with each student underwater. (Unless otherwise organized for a workshop style course or with a second instructor).
In order to maximize your time and learning, we suggest students stay on location at one of our beautiful partner resorts in the Tulamben or Amed areas. Not only does this cut out the drive to and from south Bali each day, it will allow students the opportunity to do late afternoon dives and/or night dives as well as spend more time with the instructor discussing the fine art of photography.
If you would like to continue diving after your photo class we are more than happy to create a tailored itinerary for you with a private guide for your group. This is a great way to continue practicing your photography techniques while exploring and experiencing one of the best diving locations in the world.
